6 STEPS TO SPOTIFY GLORY (FOR DUMMIES)

Here’s a way to get Spotify up and running

STEP 1 : KNOW VPN

If you’re a noob, we suggest you don’t try this. So, to get things started you will need a VPN(Virtual Private Network) client. Once you download a VPN client, it pulls some James Bond-like moves on your computer. The VPN assigns an IP that differs from your current local IP address and replaces it with an IP from a different country. Once all that is done, you are officially accessing the Internet from a different country, which you have chosen to operate from. 

STEP 2 : BREATHE VPN

Now that you know how VPN works and what it does, it is time to download a client. We used VPNBOOK(free, vpnbook.com) as a client, mainly because it is free and gives you an option to choose servers from different countries . Log on to the site and head over to the “How to setup” tab on there. Make sure you download the client through the link that appears in Step 1 VPNBOOK. Done? After that, just follow the instructions and download the “American Pack” of servers.

STEP 3 : THANK VPN

If you tried logging on to Spotify without connecting to the VPN you’d have got a site that displayed “Spotify is not available in your country”. However, after you’ve connected through the VPN, this won’t happen. So, log on to the US site of Spotify and register as a United States user. You will only be able to create a free account. Do not create a premium account. The free account of Spotify USA does not have limited streaming, unlike the accounts from other countries.

STEP 4 : SMILE ;)

Once you’ve registered yourself as a US user and the interface opens, do not start streaming music right away. The music will not stream and an error will show up saying “We cannot stream music to you because of the restrictions on your network”. If you ignore us and do this, don’t worry. Just look to the right of the screen and you will see the “Install Spotify” button. Click that and let it download. Once that is done, log out of the Spotify site and install the app.

STEP 5 : KISS THIS PAGE

If you have done everything right, you will be able to log in without any problems. Make sure you are connected to the VPN at all times when you log in. Do not log in using Facebook; just use the username and password that you created when you signed up. Do not use Spotify for illegal acitivities, We will not be responsible for any legal problems you may face. Read the Spotify agreement. You will be fineif you follow the agreement that Spotify lists.

STEP 6 : THANK US

After you have logged in, you can switch to your local network; the VPN is not required, However, when you sign into Spotify again, you will need to connect to the VPN.That’s it! If these steps work for you and you are streaming music from Spotify, thank us. Remember not to misuse the service or do anything that will put you in legal trouble. So? What are you waiting for?
